Uh Oh
by Nina
And we're back in the game.
After a semester mostly on vacation from academia - you know, CPE is kinda like a trip to Hawaii - I am feeling like I just got caught.
I didn't get my books until today because the bookstore has been closed.
I am now hundreds of pages behind in my readings for class (and today was the first day of class).
It is good to feel like I'm "back on campus." It is exciting to not be sick anymore. I really want to spend time with the friends who I rarely saw during my semester of CPE and those friends who are back on campus after being away since the summer. I really don't want to be spending all my time outside of class reading (frantically, too).
While CPE was certainly emotionally and physically draining - most of my evenings were spent relaxing, recovering from my days, hanging out with friends and pretty much responsibility free.
J-term is a reality check and I'm thinking "uh oh."
