New Year Resolutions
by Daniel
I bet you have one. Each and every year people set resolutions in place on New Year’s Eve. Why is it that we need some sort of “fresh” date in time to reset our lives? I’ve always thought that having a “date” in mind helps me (for one reason or another). Although I won’t be getting married for almost two years I’m using this New Year as an opportunity to make myself feel and look healthier. The thesis project really destroyed a lot of my workout and healthy eating habits. Instead of working out and eating healthy—I skipped out on exercise and ate like a college kid. Eh. I can’t completely blame said project. It’s not like anyone forced me to eat anything I didn’t want to eat! Turns out that when you are almost twenty-five you can’t eat like when you were 18-21. Luther has a nice program that promotes healthy leadership that I might actually do for once this upcoming semester. It’s called the “Healthy Leaders Initiative.” It might be a good idea for anyone else who has packed on a few extra pounds of holiday stuffing.
