Here Comes the Light

I love Advent.

The sneaking cold of the Upper Midwest and the gradual darkening of each day seem to fit too well to be a coincidence. We live Advent in a bit of darkness, with candles and quiet....waiting.

We wait for this cold to leave.
We wait for the semester to be over.
We wait for CPE to be a thing of the past.
We wait to be done with that last paper.
We wait for news.
We wait for jobs.
We wait in darkness.
We wait for a word of hope.
We wait for peace (really).
We wait as the expectant mother of Christ.

In our waiting, we live in hope of the coming Savior. We boldly proclaim Here Comes the Light!
