Weekend Adventures
by Daniel
This past weekend served as a subtle reminder of God’s sense of humor. In the middle of the winter we were blessed with two beautiful weekend days. I’ll wager that the tables will turn pretty quickly with the weather. Because of this— I took a little time out to go for a walk with my fiancé and our doggy. The journey around Como Lake revealed a menagerie of dogs (big, little, old, and young). Cooper was definitely in heaven (Scriptural reference not withstanding). This weekend has provided me with several adventures. Anyone who knows me knows that I have an affinity towards cheddar bratwurst. It’s pretty great stuff. I made a few for supper last night. Eating a cheddar bratwurst is a dangerous task. If you don’t go about it carefully you’re bound to have an awful mess. How did my encounter with this delectable sausage go? Well—let’s just say that our beige loveseat now has a hint of orange. It exploded! Cheddar sausage is definitely a dangerous game. Because of this I took part in my first official “Spring Cleaning” kicks of the year. Tomorrow is the first official day of the spring semester. I’m absolutely thrilled. I hope that everyone has had a great January break. I’ll see you on campus!
