A Success!
by Nina
My last attempt at solo travel aboard mass transportation ended up being a bit of a traumatic experience for this South Dakota girl. (It's not really my fault, it's my heritage).
But now, NOW, my experience has been redeemed.
In an effort to avoid traffic, expensive and/or non-existent parking, and face my fear of being lost in sub-zero temperatures in the wilds of downtown Minneapolis, I took the bus to the Loft. This is not an Ann Taylor store...please!
The Loft is a literary center where I am now a student. After learning about my love of writing, one of my seminary professors suggest I look into taking some classes through this organization. I took her suggestion and am now enrolled in my first ever poetry class (Thanks, Amy). It is a wonderfully terrifying experience.
And I made it there and back home successfully navigating the city's bus system (all by myself). I didn't even cry.

Good for you, Nina! I almost did an internship there (before seminary). They do amazing work. I'm sure you'll follow suit.
Oh, and I miss you.
yay for non-scaring public transit experiences! are you hooked yet?
