Got wind?

by Daniel

Got wind? I hope that no one blew away today. I kind of wish I had a kite. It was a textbook example of a “blah” day. I woke up today to the howling of the wind. The skies were grey. I had to dig up my umbrella. Everything was melting—but at least it wasn’t cold. That isn’t to say that there aren’t plenty of us on campus right now with colds!

Classes are in full swing again. MTH level credit courses are 6000 level classes. When you’re a MTH student you quickly come to realize that there isn’t always a MTH level class available during registration. Because of this—you find yourself “inventing” all sorts of ideas for independent studies for MTH credit. This is where I found myself today. In my future PHD studies I would like to explore the dirty little concept of “Holy War” (a really bad term). War, unfortunately, is just as much of a reality today as it was in the past. It is because of this that I have been coming up with independent study ideas that will cater towards future scholarship. One of the great things about Luther Seminary is how closely you can work with faculty (especially ones with similar interests). This upcoming fall will be no exception.

So, what else is new? My iguana has officially begun his spring “mating season” goodness. I’ve gotten bit a few times over the last week. He’s one angry boy. Interestingly – the way to “cure” their male-angst is by putting some sort of inanimate iguana shaped thing in the cage with them. I threw a pair of balled up socks in with him. I don’t think I’ll keep them. Anyhow—I’ve got a lot of reading to do tonight. I hope everyone has a good evening!
