Vacation to Internship

I am on vacation to internship.  This is a really good idea for seminarians, especially in January.  Here is how vacation to internship works:

• While at seminary, make friends with people who are not in your class.
  
• Stay in contact with those friends when they leave MN for internships in Alaska, southern California, Texas, New York, Arizona, northern Minnesota, etc.
• In January, or other break times from classes, visit the places they live to reacquaint yourself with the sun and to get some quality time with wonderful ministry-types of people.
• Repeat.

So right now, I'm in Syracuse New York.  I got to visit two churches yesterday morning and hear my friend Laura preach (the people behind me audibly uttered that was beautiful when she finished, and they were right!).  We have enjoyed some wonderful quality time, refreshing conversations that seriously feed our souls, and have come to tears more than once from laughing!

Today's Plan: Head to Washington DC for some sort of event...I hear a lot of people are going to be there....sounds like it might be a big deal.
