Heretics at the Top

When the Heretics soccer team walked into the field house for Sunday night's soccer game - we were at the top of the list. That means we had the best ranking coming into week 2 of the league. With a 1-0 record and a score of 6-1 in that game, we were sitting pretty.

Probably not anymore. (It is sad, I know). We lost our second game 3-1. We had many heretics show up to play, but we had to wear those stupid pinnies instead of our rockin' flames of red. Pinnies are those not-so-awesome mesh practice jerseys you wore in middle school that smelled like aged sweat of teenagers....remember? Some people had worn other t-shirts, or had extras so we were a sad mishmash of unorthodox heretics running around - some even in striped polo shirts. Coincidentally, the referee wore the some color as most of us. Unfortunately he didn't help out when we passed the ball to him.

The Luther Seminary Heretics played decently, but just struggled against a tough team.

At least we were at the top of the list for a little while. (Probably for the first time ever!)
